BH Lyn is a cataclysmic variable star located in the constellation Lynx. It is classified as a novalike variable, a subtype of cataclysmic binaries where a white dwarf accretes matter from a late-type companion via an accretion disk. BH Lyn is an eclipsing system, making it especially useful for studying the structure and behavior of accretion disks in close binary stars.
